What started out as what we'd like to call the Westbury derby ended in the same fashion as La Marsia once again faced Argies FC in the final match of the Davidsonville Community Cup. Although there could only be one winner of the tournament Westbury won as collective, showcasing the skills and talent our community's young footballers have in another community.

It was was a tough battle to get to the finals and for two teams from Westbury to end up there is a very big deal. It sends a message out to the community that all is not lost we are still a unit with a very bright future despite what may happen day to day in the streets of Westbury.

The score was really tight with a 3-0 lead at halftime it was the La Marsia coach who went to have a pleasant halftime team talk as Argies FC was trailing. The second half began with La Marsia adding a forth goal to the tally and it seemed like it was over for Argies FC but then ... The great come back began with Argies FC scoring 1 goal with minimal time on the clock one would think it was just a consolation goal but then they added a 2nd and a 3rd with minutes to remain it looked as if they would pull off the impossible and draw level but La Marsia held their own and went on to win with the game ending at 4-3 they prevailed the victors and walked away with the trophy and the prize money.

Its a new dawn for Westbury football. La Marsia has arrived!
